Welcome to our home! Our pride and joy, this trendy apartment in the cute and quiet neighbourhood of Alvito/Alcantara in easy walking distance of the artistic LX Factory: Home to artists and creatives boasting a lively hub of great bars, delicious foods and the Sunday artisan market.
The space
Our building is an Art Deco period building and the flat has been decorated with a historic reference and tasteful and arty modern twist. From the sitting room balcony you can see the ‘Cristo Rei’ across the River Tejo, inspired by Rio’s famous Christ the Redeemer statue.
The flat is a 5 minute walk from ALCÂNTARA-Terra station and around a ten minute walk to LxFactory, Docas de Santo, and night life. Also useful spots like supermarket, pharmacy, cute cafes, health food and typical Portuguese restaurants. On the cusp of Bairro do Alvito, you will experience a quaint neighbourhood and the ‘real’ Lisbon.
This 2 bedroom apartment is our heart and joy, with beautiful decor and a relaxed and clean feel. It’s the ideal place to come back to after a day of exploring, and is an expression of our journeys and work all over the world. It is comfortable, artistic and cozy, and has been decorated with beautiful furniture and attention to details to make your stay special.
The terrace is a lovely outdoor space where we love to enjoy outdoor eating in the summer, and to relax and read in the hammock, or enjoy a candle-lit glass of fizz Lisbon styles (Vinho Verde). (Please keep the noise down after 10 PM)
There are two bedrooms with double beds and fresh, hotel-quality linen for an outstanding rest, plus a sofa bed. This home is perfect for couples or friends wanting to explore the city, or artists wanting to be inspired and have a place to create. The house has a ceramic hob and oven, extractor hood, electric kettle, ironing board, hairdryer and straighteners and iron, wifi, washing machine!
The kitchen is an open-plan kitchen with a counter. You will find everything you need to prepare a meal, and all the appliances are modern and easy to use.
You can freshen up in the beautiful bathroom complete with golden tiles!
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire property (or one room depending on your booking) so you can enjoy the utmost comfort.
Please respect the neighbours- keep noise to a minimum from 10 PM onwards.
You may occasionally hear noise from neighbouring apartments, as most buildings in Lisbon aren’t soundproofed!
Other things to note
The flat is on the second floor so might not be good for families. The flat is the very beginning or Bairro Alvito and is up a small and steady hill. The building doesn’t currently have central heating or air conditioning but it does have a small heater to stay warm.
I will leave you my recommends of Lisbon! You will also have access to hammock, yoga mats and easel (please bring the hammock when you finish with it to protect it from the environment!)
The flat capacity is for 5 people, no additional guests allowed please. There is a single sofa bed in the living room.
Most homes in Portugal don’t have central heating or air conditioning, heaters and fans will be provided.
Govt ID will be collected at check-in for submission to the authorities as required by local laws.
Finally, please be eco-friendly and turn off all the lights and electrical appliances (such as heaters and fans) when you leave the apartment and do your washing up! Thank you!
